New Jersey Transit Bus & Car Collision ends in three Fatalities

A tragic car collision with a NJ transit bus on Monday. Authorities say the car was heading north on Franklin Blvd in Pleasantville when swerved out of control for unknown reasons and struck the NJ Transit Bus Monday afternoon at around 2pm, The car had flipped around but ended upright.

The driver of the car and another passenger both died Monday, there was a third fatality today Tuesday. There was a total of five people in the car when the accident happen. One other person remain in the hospital. Meanwhile NJ Transit bus driver and two other passengers were injured but the injuries were not life threatening. There was a total of 10 people on the bus, which was heading to a mall in Mays Landing.

Witnesses said the car was speeding, Pleasantville Police said the driver of the bus tried to avoid the head on collision, resulting in the car hitting the side of the bus making it spin around and the bus ended up on the sidewalk almost hitting the utility pole.

The damages to the four door compact car was to the front end, the accident is still under investigation. Updates will be posted as the investigation goes on. Pleasantville, New Jersey.
